When coupled with good pickups with 4-conductor leads, our wiring kits provide substantial improvement in tonal flexibility, allowing you to realize your guitar's true potential!Our wiring kit includes everything you need to do the job easily. All hardware is included, along with very clear illustrated instructions. You will need to do some soldering, but not much. We've soldered two ground wires to each of the pots for you, and the rest of the connections to the pots are made via screw-down terminals, rather than soldering. We even give you the little screwdriver you'll need! • ToneShaper push/pull wiring kit for PRS SE guitars (REQUIRES 4-CONDUCTOR PICKUPS) provides substantial tonal flexibility versus stock wiring.
• Fits guitars with toggle pickup selector, will not work with SE guitars that use a lever (Fender-style) pickup selector. Two push/pull CTS pots provide three wiring options: (1) coil split for each pickup; (2) series/parallel for each pickup; (3) coil-split for both pickups + phase reverse.
• Will not work with stock SE pickups, 4-conductor pickups are REQUIRED!! Use any brand (our docs show Seymour Duncan color coding). And you will need to replace your knobs/tip, see images at left.
• Includes our exclusive CTS solder-free push/pull pots, plus Switchcraft switch and jack. SOME SOLDERING IS REQUIRED, but there's a lot less of it because our pots are solder-free.
• Our variable treble-bleed is included - dial it to your liking to mitigate tonal changes as you increase/decrease the volume. Multiple cap values built into the tone control allow you to fine-tune the control to fit your needs.
