This is an early product, purchased around the time Futatsugawa Washi leather began to be released. I bought it at the Mansaw store in Ueno, Tokyo. I recall being told it was a one-of-a-kind item (not in the catalog) that combined the Futatsugawa Washi leather with the Simone leather single briefcase design of the time, but my memory is a bit hazy. In any case, it's not currently listed in the online catalog as of January 2026.
The bag has some scratches and marks that are characteristic of Futatsugawa Washi leather, but I've regularly maintained it with cream, which has also given it a nice sheen. I think it's best suited for someone who appreciates the character of aged leather.
The interior is made of cotton twill with leather piping. There is some wear and tear here as well.
Please consider this a used item before purchasing.
