Featured in the Japanese deep funk disc guide "FUNK 45'S." This is a 45" only release from 1969 by THE EDDY JACOBS EXCHANGE, a New York-New Jersey funk band led by EDDY JACOBS, known for his work with ROY AYERS, who left only two 45" records on the major label COLUMBIA. Produced by BILLY JACKSON, who also worked with TYMES and PEACHES & HERB. Reissued on 45" by JAZZMAN in 2006, and included in numerous FUNK 45" compilations. Sampled in KID SPATULA's "TUGBOAT," and featured on DJ MURO's "SUPER FUNK BREAKS LESSON 3" and various other compilations. Heavily played during the DEEP FUNK movement, and in the recent 45" boom, it has been played by many HIP HOP DJs such as DJ KOCO and KID CAPRI. This is a heavy, massive, and hard-hitting heavy breakbeat, a JAMES BROWN-style B-BOY favorite, the killer FUNK CLASSICS 45" "PULL MY COAT." The groovy number "BLACK IS BLACK" is coupled with it.
